Tonight's the monthly Vancouver Drupal meetup. This will be my first and have yet to find out what goes down. This month's discussion:

"This month's feature presentation: Sugar and Spice vs. Puppy Dog Tails - A Discussion on Gender and Technology with Lauren Bacon of Raised Eyebrow Web Studio. Lauren discusses expanding your audience by breaking down gender assumptions. As well as providing website examples focused on gender inclusiveness, she'll discuss her and her clients' experiences designing Drupal websites."

Apple let go of the leash on Lepoard a bit early

Was the long awaited release of Apple's new and improved OSX, Leopard, a bit pre-mature? Mediocre reviews seem to back up my answer with facts quite nicely.

From Tom's Guide:

"In Leopard, when Finder moves a file from one drive to another, it deletes the file from the originating hard drive, without first checking to see if the file arrived safely on the destination hard drive. If anything goes wrong during the file transfer, such as a momentary power glitch on the destination hard drive, the file would then be destroyed on both hard drives."

Raincity Studios acquires Bryght & opens office in Shanghai

So, the news is official: we've aquired our talented neighbours, Bryght. Over the span of about 6 months, the time that I first set foot in Raincity Studios, lots and lots of change has happened. We hired 4 new employees (including myself), moved into a new office in gastown (veryyy niceee!), opened an office in Shanghai, and aquired our long-time partners in crime, Bryght.

I'm very excited to be apart of the growth of this company. We're definately going places. Keep updated on the change at raincitystudios.com.
